The Summer Inquiry Activity of SUIS – Qingpu

At first, teachers experienced the water-town culture during visiting the centre . What an amazing renovation! The peaceful and cozy artistic atomosphere filled every corner. Teachers gained inspirations for the campus decoration.
Then, teachers went to the handcraft zone. It turned out that teachers were here to experience the characteristic co-curriculum of SUIS-Qingpu. The Calabash curriculum had two parts: making lanterns and painting Beijing Opera masks. Xiehe Education Group always advocate for combining Chinese traditional cultures with curriculum needs. We will follow the pathway of taking root in Chinese culture and realizing the educational changes and potentials in and beyond China.
Look, calabashes had huge differences after teachers hand. Some were made as lanterns, and others were painted as Beijing Opera masks. It turned out that our teachers were not just expertised in teaching but also good at hands-on projects. How to incorporate subject knowledge with hands-on projects and enhance interactive learning experience was stressed in the development of curriculum in SUIS-Qingpu as well.
The most exciting part is that, in the future, our students will have the chance to enjoy those outdoor transdisciplinary projects which combine biology, art, music and some other curriculums. With the support of all those characteristic curriculums, our SUIS Qingpu Campus aims to cultivate our students to be the person with global, outstanding and holistic future leadership.
