A ‘home away from home’.
As an extension of the classroom and fostering a cohesive community among students, SUIS Qingpu’s Boarding Programme offers a ‘home away from home’ for primary, middle and high school students. Boarding is optional for students in all three divisions.
The Programme covers several developmental areas: life skills; social, emotional, and leadership development; physical health; academic consolidation and enrichment; and bilingual reading.
The Boarding facilities offer a warm, comfortable environment where students can develop their communication skills and character.
A typical Boarding Programme evening includes ‘Clubs & Societies’ activities and guided self-study time. Monthly music concerts, fun activities and team-building activities occur throughout the school year.
The Boarding Programme is supported and supervised by both dedicated Boarding Programme staff as well as teaching staff.
All students in the boarding programme are placed into one of four houses:
- Qinglong House
- Baihu House
- Zhuque House
- Xuanwu House
