Health & Safety

On-site healthcare is provided on our campus by a doctor as well as full-time nurses who are certified to conduct first aid and handle minor injuries or illnesses. In the case of an emergency, parents are contacted immediately. We also have 24-hour on-site security guards to ensure a safe school environment, and all school visitors must register at the gate in compliance with our Child Safeguarding Policy. At SUIS Qingpu, parents can rest assured that their children are in safe hands all day, every day.

Meals

Students can purchase a delicious, balanced, and healthy lunch (and dinner, for our boarding students) provided by our certified professional catering service provider. Our cafeterias offer a wide-ranging menu, with both Chinese and intercontinental meals that changes daily and from which students may choose from various dishes. Click here to see this week’s menu.

School Uniform

Our school uniform is a distinguishing feature of all SUIS schools. We believe that wearing a school uniform helps unite students, develop their self-confidence, and build a sense of school pride. Therefore, all students must wear the approved school uniform on a daily basis. Parents will be expected to purchase the full range of uniform components – there will be times, for example, when students will need to wear the physical education (PE) uniform for PE lessons or the formal uniform for special events such as assemblies and ceremonies.

Transportation

For our students needing transportation to and from school, we provide a safe and extensive bus service throughout Shanghai for a fee, for students of any grade level. The school bus is optional, as some families prefer to make alternative arrangements for transportation.

Bus routes are flexible – for example, a request for a pick-up/drop-off point to be added to an existing route can be considered. Please note that the transportation fee is not included in the tuition fee. Each bus is assigned a bus supervisor who oversees children’s safety and well-being on their daily journeys to and from school.
