Steven DiMattei
Dr. Steven DiMattei holds a PhD in Humanities from the Sorbonne University and MA degrees in Classics and Literature from Indiana University and has been actively involved in international education for over 30 years, including serving as a Visiting Professor at Cornell University before coming to China. Dr. DiMattei joins the SUIS Qingpu campus with over 10 years of experience as a principal managing international schools in China, including 2 years as co-principal in SUIS Wanyuan campus. As a leader in international education Dr. DiMattei focuses on creating cultures of academic excellence, maintaining high quality teaching and learning environments, supporting students in their English language proficiency, and offering sound College Counseling guidance, especially for American-bound Chinese students, by providing them with academic advice and timelines, tips on how to write a winning personal statement, or even speaking directly to Admission Officers in support their application. He also enjoys delivering public talks to both Chinese parents and students on international education, especially Sino-American programs and curricula, and has personally helped numerous students get into America’s top universities.
