Sunny Huang



Sunny Huang, a senior teacher and senior principal, holds dual master’s degrees from both China and the UK. Apart from her domestic teacher qualification certificate, she also possesses PGCE and IB qualifications. With over two decades of teaching and management experience in public schools, domestic private schools, and a private girls’ school in the UK, she has participated in the establishment of six well-known private schools in Shanghai and currently serves as the principal of Shanghai United International School Qingpu Campus. She has led and participated in numerous key research projects at the district, city, and national education levels. Her educational research achievements have won numerous awards at both the district and city levels, and her papers and articles, such as “The Four Steps of Implementing Online Education in Schools: Introduction, Development, Transition, and Conclusion” have been published in renowned journals and newspapers like “Education,” “Teacher Training,” and “China Teacher News.”

Sunny has always been committed to curriculum development and teacher training that integrates Chinese and Western education. Specifically, she utilizes educational research and practical applications to promote the high-quality and sustainable growth of private schools and teacher teams. She has been elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the Minhang District Political Consultative Conference, Deputy Secretary of the Minhang District Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and holds various other social and party positions. She has actively fulfilled her leadership duties, advocated for education, and been invited to share her experiences more than 20 times on TED Talks, Dragon TV, Shanghai People’s Radio, Shanghai Finance, and SMG. She has also received numerous honours, including the title of “Top Talent” from the Qingpu Qingfeng Talent Programme in Shanghai, the “Outstanding Principal of the Post-80s Generation” (awarded at the RAISE Asia International School Conference), the “Annual Political Information Role Model Award” from the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and the “Taipu Talent” from the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integration Development Demonstration Zone.
