Before settling down, we should focus on learning and before learning, we should focus on reading, said by Ouyang Xiu from Northern Song Dynasty. From this sentence, we can catch the importance of reading and SUIS Qingpu Campus have always adhered to the idea that reading plays an important role in shaping children’s future. So we held the first “Book Week” on such a sweet day. This activity lasts for 5 days. During this period, there are more than 1600 Chinese and foreign books meeting with teachers and students which can be said to be a feast for reading.
Perhaps, your impression of the book fair is that you can cast only a passing glance at that time, but as an exclusive book fair, our readers can slowly select the books they like. This is also in line with our intention of holding the Book Week: let children enjoy reading books and enrich their knowledge, at the same time, let children start to realize what is “independent choice”.
Different from the cold climate, the enthusiasm of the students for the book exhibition is very high. There are a lot of people and babel of voices in LRC: some are crowded together to look at the same book because of their common hobbies, some are excited and cheered because of seeing a book they haven’t found for a long time, some are introducing a have read book to their classmates. There even have a heavy traffic at the door of LRC：some are eager to choose books after class, some are have finished shopping and hurry back to the classroom, some are go back to call their friends to go book fair together.
Some students can’t wait to read books directly on the spot with interest. There is cool dew when reading and learning articles in autumn. Wish we can set sail for the future and compose magnificent music score together in the fragrance of books!
