January 17th, 2020 was our last day of school in the year of the Boar, and it was also the date of our very first Middle School New Year Concert!
Students practiced for weeks leading up to this wonderful showcase, as our hosts helped guide the audience of parents, staff, students and guests through the different performances, which proved to be as unique as the student body of our school.
The show began with a traditional Chinese flair to honor the coming New Year, with drums, Chinese flute, dragons dancing and Peking Opera.
The audience watched with delight as the celebration produced surprise after surprise like a four-hand piano duet, classical guitar, hip-hop dancing and Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging.
Finally, Vice Principal Mr. Leo Ge, and Ms. Tina Tong, the head of Middle School brought our academic term to a close with a wonderful summation of everything that we achieved together in these past few months. We look forward with excitement for what will happen in the new year!
