June 8 Flag Raising Ceremony

Three weeks ago, the fourth and sixth graders came back to school. A week ago, the first, second and third graders returned to our familiar campus, too. With the students returning to school, this becomes a very special flag raising ceremony in this semester – the first flag raising ceremony with all grades in.

Carry out the flag! Raise the national flag! All stand up! Play and sing the national anthem! Salute! ” In the solemn national anthem, the bright flag is rising. In order to maitain a proper “Social Distance”, we arranged for Grade 3 and 4 to watch in the theatre, while students from Grade 1, 2 and 6 watched a live stream in their classrooms.

Later, the Vice Director of Primary Department Mr. Andy Xu read out the list of loving parents who donated medical materials to the school during the epidemic: They donated dozens of Yifeng air purifiers, hundreds of disposable medical masks, large hypochlorite water sterilizers, disinfectant hand sanitizers, forehead thermometers and outdoor sunshades to the school, hoping that we can work together to help the school provide a safe learning environment for children, so that children can also study at ease after returning to school. Co-acting Principal Ms. Sunny Huang and Office Manager Ms. Cindy Zhang have issued the certificates and flowers to parents to express the gratitude.

General Principal of Xiehe Education Group Ms. Maxine Lu took this opportunity to guide students to see that human development has always been moving forward in difficulties and progress in changes, which make students know that when they encounter difficulties, they must find a way to solve them. If the existing knowledge cannot help, they should learn new knowledge and solve it again, and then continue to progress.

Every difficulty is a challenge to overcome:  After experiencing this “storm”, our children will be better developed mentally, and approach the world with a more delicate and tolerant attitude.
