Dunhuang, standing for thousands of years on the Silk Road, is the intersection of the four major cultures — China, India, Greece and Islam. Not only the magnificent scenery but also the legendary history of Mogao Grottoes attracts millions of tourists.
G6 students of SUIS Qingpu, inspired by Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, recreated Dunhuang art images, which means an attempt to present Dunhuang art in a contemporary way.
FEITIAN
Apsaras fly high in the azure sky above heavenly balconies. Delicately contoured figures, their scarves fluttering and silver lined clouds gliding, the Apsaras carry lotus and precious jewelry, play musical instruments, dance while scattering petals. Some of them are monks, floating on a reddish-brown stage, radiating an atmosphere of joy.
We sincerely invite you to attend the opening ceremony of the ‘SUIS Qingpu Dunhuang Art Exhibition’.
