“We’re going to wear red scarves!”
Wearing a red scarf is both an exciting and serious event for children. On the morning of June 15th, our Grade Two students joined in the Young Pioneer Team!
After returning to school, volunteer students from Grade Three and Four had young pioneer pre-team classes for Grade Two students. During and after classes, Grade Two students practiced wearing red scarves repeatedly and tried their best to sing the “Young Pioneers Team Song”.
Today, our Grade Two students finally got their exciting moment! First, all the children sang the song, “An open smile” to pay tribute to the heroes fighting COVID-19. Then, under the bright Young Pioneer flag the Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Qingpu District Ms. Chen Shuyi and school teachers wore the red scarves for the 112 Grade Two students. All the new young pioneers followed the Vice Director of Primary Department Mr. Andy Xu to make a solemn swear to being part of the Young Pioneer Team.
