Autumn creeping quietly in and on the 10th of September, we celebrated Teachers’ Day and the first “Xieli Outstanding Teachers Awards” at SUIS Qingpu.
In the morning, the children waited eagerly at the school gate, their smiling faces brightening the day as they welcomed today’s stars, saying, “Thank you, teachers! Happy Teachers’ Day!”
Just after seven o’clock, the teachers arrived at school to a heartwarming welcome as the children told their teachers how much they mean to them. “Your smile brightens my day! You always make me smile, too!”
With gifts of roses, hands are left with a lingering floral fragrance. The best gift for teachers is seeing their students growing and learning, day by day. We sincerely thank all teachers for your dedication. It is your love that guides students in the joy of their learning journey.
At one o’clock in the afternoon, the “Xieli Outstanding Teachers Awards” kicked off for the first time at SUIS Qingpu. The “Xieli Outstanding Teachers Awards” have been an annually-occurring celebration for 12 years and it has been one of the most important interactions between home and school at all Shanghai United International School campuses. Every year, each school allows the students to nominate ten teachers. On Teachers’ Day, representatives of students and parents vote again to select two winners.
The teachers’ individual presentations let us all see the teachers’ dedication to their hard work and also their individual talents and personalities.
There are warm, touching, and uplifting performances from teachers, parents, and students.
When spring comes, the teachers’ meticulous efforts throughout the year are obvious as the children become more confident and comfortable in the classroom.
