After the study trip to the Shanghai Architecture Model Museum, this week, Grade 6 students of the middle school came to the Table Tennis Museum.
Before this trip, the students were presented with a pre-class study and challenge sheets.
In the exhibition area of the museum, the students followed the guide to understand the origin of table tennis, the development process of various competitions, the update of table tennis equipment and the impact of table tennis on China and the world. During the visit, the students wrote down information, took photos and discussed with each other.
From the mesh to the rubber sponge, students witnessed the various shapes and materials of the rackets. From the big balls to the small balls, the students learned about the continuous update of table tennis skills. From World Cup to Olympic Games, the students appreciated the opportunity to see such changes in history of table tennis.
The trip to the Table Tennis Museum has come to an end. Where will we go for our next museum tour? Stay tuned!
Reflections from Students
From the age of 12, we no longer pester our parents to buy toys on June 1, but hope to have a special Children’s Day that can broaden our horizons and increase our knowledge.

In the Table Tennis Museum, we have seen the development history of table tennis in China, the origin of table tennis and the famous table tennis masters in history. We also watched the glittering trophies of seven table tennis world championships. I am really proud of Chinese athletes.

The history of table tennis and the treasures in the museum dazzled me. When I found that half of the players in the World Hall of Fame were from China, I felt proud!
