Have you experienced the following situations before: During the middle of the class, you lost your attention, and when you realized that, you’ve missed some important instruction; while reading, you couldn’t concentrate for the noises, and it took such a long time for you to concentrate again; when doing your homework, you always think of other irrelevant issues, then you cannot finish the task quickly or efficiently. If you have experienced such situations before, you should think over about how to concentrate.
In this seminar, Ms. Yu took us to explore and decode the concentration.
EXPLORING
At the very beginning, Ms. Yu led us to do a game called Hands and Brain, which let us aware that our concentration is limited and it requires us to use our concentration as a spotlight only on these important matters.
After that, we had a self-assessment about the characteristics of concentration, and we learned about voluntary attention and involuntary attention. We knew that after learning consistently and training our brain properly, our attention span could be extended and our concentration could be improved.
DECODING
In this part, we did four games to find keys for improving our concentration.
