The Fun Fitness at Home Challenge

A different speech from the principal kicked off the movement
Our current Primary School PE Coordinator Mr. Junard relayed final inspirational words. Following the opening speeches, our PE teachers Mr. Jerry Chen, and Ms. Shirley led students through an aerobics warm-up to ensure that students were well prepared to begin the day’s activities. Additionally, students were given final guidance on the activity rules and competition regulations via our teaching platform, ClassIn.
At 09:00am the buzzer rang, and the games commenced….

Wonderful fun sports moments show sportsmanship
Ski-Hops–Run in Place–Burpee–Jump Squat–Touch Pod-Agility Touch Pod–Jumping Jacks–Jumping Rope–Sit ups–One Legged Balance
Students and teachers had a time frame of 1 hour 20 minutes to complete the 10 compulsory activities and ensure that all their scores were recorded correctly. The second round of the Sports Festival adopted a student-led approach; moreover, students were given allotted time to explore the APP and participate in other activities such as ‘educational arcade games’ and ‘team sports’.
The pictures show our students’ energy and their great efforts. You can even see that our teachers were full of joy participating in these fun activities. Based on the collected feedback from students, the most fun but challenging activity was the agility touch pod – this activity required a lot of concentration and a quick reaction speed. It was very evident that our school members welcomed the challenge!

Strengthen body and mind, reap exercise habits and happiness
The awardees will receive a certificate which will be awarded during PE lessons by our PE teachers. Furthermore, medals will be handed out upon our return to school.
A final thank you goes out to our PE department from the entire staff at SUIS Qinqpu! The support from students, parents, and teachers was also well received. This festival would not be possible without all your help, and for that, we cannot thank you enough.
We leave you with this final quote:
‘Great things come from hard work
and perseverance.
No excuses.’ Kobe Bryant.
