Summer begins in may – brushes and music are flying!May – The beginning of late spring and early summer is a warm season, a wisp of sunshine, a soft and gentle breeze blowing away the haze of the heart, melting in the stars of May.
Enjoy the exhibition and music concert!During this “stay-at-home” period, our school once again ushered in the “Cross-Grade Artistic Performing Corner,” performing our third show for this semester. Art displays the span of time and space. Our show on the stage has changed, but what has not changed is our love for artistic expressions.
“Children’s eyes see the world, no scruples to touch the tip of the pen,” the melody of their souls’ ripples on the paper, and the brush follows the rhythm of the heart. Perception, discovery, recording, expression, and every feeling that is expressed by the paper is a beautiful artistic representation. Primary school students brought their wonderful paintings; each work was unique. Students appreciated and listened to the story behind each piece of art.
Music is everywhere, like a burst of bright sunshine in every corner of the world. Music has the power to express deep emotions in its unique way, conveying the language of the heart and demonstrating the power of sound.
These individual musical performances are presentations made by students across the faculties, from first to tenth grade. The recitals were presented harmoniously, and students showed their talents in rich and colorful forms, from local to Western music, from youth to maturity expressions. We were able to appreciate the moving melody played on the black and white piano keys, the exciting notes performed by the bow and strings, and the guzheng’s pleasant melody that seems to bring us back to ancient times. Music is a language, a way of communicating; therefore, its charm is enough to encompass international and regional areas, break cultural differences and unite us as a society.
In addition to students’ performances, we also invited three special musicians from different countries: China, the United States, and Colombia, to join us. They are also music teachers who work at different faculties in our school: primary school, middle school, and high school. They collaborated as a music ensemble, and for this occasion, teachers prepared a marvelous piece of music called “Alturas”.
Art is heritage, exploration, innovation, and love, starting from the idea that life should be full of the highest aspirations. Let us have artistic companionship when we are “at home” to continue sowing those values that will make our society walk towards the progress we all want.
