The peach tree in front of Grandma Lin Tao’s house was full of peaches. Squirrels, goats, tigers, and other small animals passed by, one by one, asking Grandma Lin Tao for peaches to eat. But alas, there was only one peach left on the tree. What happened when the turtle family finally arrived?
Grandma Lin Tao love to share peaches with the little animals, but how did she harvest such a large peach forest? At the end of the picture book, there is a long page that invites children to explore the peach forest. The author uses concise words and images to tell young readers how joyful and natural sharing can be in a simple world where humans and animals harmoniously coexist. Life is portrayed so purely and beautifully!

The five golden tickets were printed in sugar wrapping paper and hidden in five ordinary chocolate candies. Whoever received the golden tickets would receive a lifetime supply of chocolate and candy!
This special event was organized by Willy Wonka, the owner of a chocolate factory. He wished to use this method for selecting a successor for the factory. Charlie also wanted a golden ticket, but he was very poor, so poor that his family could only eat cabbage soup every day. He didn’t have enough money to buy a chocolate.
The winners of four golden tickets were announced, with only 1 winner remaining. Just then, on his way back home, Charlie found some money and couldn’t resist the temptation to buy two chocolates. Surprisingly, he got the golden ticket that he had been dreaming of.
Five children and their families were invited to visit Wonka’s chocolate factory. The four other children had their own individual shortcomings and couldn’t resist temptations which led them troubles along the way. It was only Charlie who truly loved chocolate, and after going through various trials, he became the successor for Wonka’s chocolate factory.

The suffix “stan” comes from Persian and means ‘place’ or ‘land’. Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan are five young independent countries located in Central Asia. Before their independence, they were part of the Soviet Union and had complex histories and rich cultures, making them full of mystery.
In this book, the author travels through Turkmenistan, a country that is forbidden to most people, then visits the vast and desolate nuclear test site in Kazakhstan, and attends a wedding in the Tajikistan countryside. She backpacks through every corner of each republic, providing readers with a comprehensive introduction to the history, culture, and geography of these five Central Asian countries, with a special focus on the current situation of women’s survival in each country. “Journey to Central Asia” is a travelogue, a most interesting work of non-fiction literature that captures the explorative journey of a young anthropologist.
