The setting sun’s afterglow casts rays of light into the corridors, adding a youthful, exuberant movement to the shadows. The students eagerly head towards another happy ‘world’ – the wind at this moment is filled with joy. Oh! It turns out it is time for Co-curricular Activities (CCAs)!

SUIS Qingpu’s high school offers students a wide range of interesting CCA options, including nearly forty different activities.

Astronomy, Exploring the World of Video Game Creation, Veni Vidi Vici, Judo, Ice Hockey, a Harry Potter Club, Volunteering Service, Swimming, Handicraft Club, the Journalism Association, Music Production and Recording, and many more!

Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee has developed into a famous “Internet celebrity” sport worldwide. Due to its incorporation of characteristics from rugby, soccer, and basketball, along with rules that avoid physical contact, it has gradually become an important teaching activity in school sports education and is deeply loved by students. As an international school, we should incorporate more international and cutting-edge sports into our physical education, allowing our students to keep up with the times and ‘go global’.

Deluxe French Designs

n the Deluxe French Design CCA, students can learn many things, such as making brownies and lemon mousse, setting up a French dining table, and making lipstick and perfume. Through this activity, students can realize that effort pays off, having also made friendships with teammates.

Academic Competitions

SUIS Qingpu not only provides a variety of interest and skills-based CCAs, but also supports students in academic competitions. In the previous school year, high school students excelled in academic competitions, delving into and achieving significant success in international competitions in fields such as mathematics and science. In mathematics, many students participated in the Berkeley Mathematical Competition and achieved outstanding results. Beyond mathematics, students also participated in numerous science competitions in biology, chemistry, and physics, reaping substantial rewards.

Psychology – Mind Games Club

The Mind Games Club provides high school students with more opportunities to understand and apply psychology. The format of psychology club activities is very flexible. In addition to introducing professional knowledge, students are encouraged to experience, observe each other, and apply psychology knowledge in debates and reasoning. Mind Games Club satisfies students’ curiosity about various branches of psychology, helps them deeply appreciate the practical value of psychology, and opens new horizons for students’ future careers.

Touch Rugby

If you’re looking for a fun, fast and friendly way to play rugby, then you should try touch rugby! Touch rugby is a mixed game that does not involve any tackling, but instead requires players to touch their opponents with both hands to stop their progress. The game emphasizes running, agility and ball-handling skills, and is suitable for players of all ages and abilities. Touch rugby is a great way to keep fit, make new friends, and enjoy the outdoors.
