To cultivate our students’ spirit for volunteer service, the High School regularly organizes related extracurricular activities throughout the school year. One such activity occurred recently on 18 October: a visit to the Chinese Table Tennis Museum with some kindergarten children! At 8:30 am, High School students from Grades 9, 10 and 11 along with students from our kindergarten travelled to the museum, and, after an hour and a half, arrived at their destination. Once inside the museum, the high school students, taking on volunteer tour guide and teaching roles, led the students to learn about the history of table tennis and other table tennis related exhibits, including an immersive interactive experience space. This activity allowed volunteers to experience the challenges faced by kindergarten teachers, develop a sense of responsibility and gave them a deeper understanding of and greater enthusiasm for volunteer service.
