The whole-school Flag-raising Ceremony on Nov 20th focus on “Caring” from the “SUIS Qingpu Learner Profile”. Through speeches and performances, students planted the seeds of appreciation in their own hearts and learned to empathise, understand their parents, and respect their teachers.

We are grateful to our parents, teachers, and friends; we thank them for their efforts to help us grow. The representatives at our ceremony shared “Caring” stories and gave flowers to express their appreciation.

Parents play an important role in our growth, and words are not enough to express our appreciation for them. Student Elaine and all Grade 10 classmates provided us with a beautiful rendition of the song “At Least You”.

Appreciation is …

I think appreciation is “a small drop of kindness that becomes a gushing spring.”
“感恩” means being thankful. Always being thankful to the world around us is a wonderful thing. Although we may think it is no big deal, it will make us happier.
Let us join in gratitude, reflection, and the sharing of appreciation. May this gratitude persist in our daily lives, bringing more harmony, goodwill, and love.

Appreciation should not be limited. We distributed blank ‘thank you’ cards to all students, encouraging them to write their expressions of gratitude to different people.

In this atmosphere of appreciation, the Flag-raising Ceremony came to an end. Although the activity has ended, its glow persists in our minds and in our actions.
