“Look, teacher! My cards are full of stamps!” shouted the student, as she excitedly waved her award card, the first semester coming to a close. We all eagerly awaited the Auspicious Dragon Park Festival, an important closing event.
Lively park events and engaging games provided a pleasant and exciting platform for students to excel in their evaluations. These enjoyable activities, all with academic features, helped students develop language expression, mathematical logic, English proficiency, and other skills. The challenging academic games made learning enjoyable.
Our Chinese teachers organized exciting activities for the students. Activity 1, “Pick Pinyin Fruit,” combined sugar gourds and Chinese pinyin. Activity 2, “Word Wheel,” had the students turning the wheel to identify word sounds and shapes. Activity 3, “Little Reciting Experts,” focused on fluent text recitation. Activity 4 involved the students participating in a lucky draw and reading aloud as announcers. These activities made Grade 1 Chinese learning fun and engaging.
Let’s have fun and spread joy! The Maths subject team organized three activities with the theme ‘Year of the Dragon’. These activities integrated different knowledge areas like numbers and operations, problem-solving, and classification. Activity 1 involved observing the number wall to find missing numbers. Activity 2 required predicting movement routes and jumping on the line. Lastly, Activity 3 focused on classifying dragon balls based on their shapes and numbers.
Children’s faces lit up with delight as they looked at the stamps on their cards. The Auspicious Dragon Park Festival marked a perfect end to the semester. It was a joyous moment to see the students’ happy faces and their cards filled with stamps, the sweetest fruits of their hard work and a blessing for everyone involved.
