On this sunny spring day, SUIS Qingpu held three unique sports events—— Fun Sports Day,Parents-Child sports day, Track&Field Sports day. On these days filled with passion and vitality, the teachers and students used their enthusiasm and vitality to write a joyful sports symphony together. The cheers and smiling faces we saw were a testament to the power of unity. Every wonderful moment became a precious treasure in our memories.
Ms. Sunny Huang, the principal of SUIS Qingpu, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, saying that dopamine results from the addictive pleasure that is short-lived and not sustainable, while endorphins result from the delayed pleasure that comes from hard work and are both long-lasting and exhilarating. Sports teaches us to strive for the best and to celebrate victors with a smile, even when we fail. Sports also teaches us how to cope with failure and disappointment, and how to be mentally strong and mature.
Following the camera’s lead, we arrived at the Grade 1 Fun Sports Meet, which was themed “Happy Sports, Endless Fun.” Look, the students are dressed in bags and were transformed into cute kangaroos hopping on the green field. They were all working hard to contribute to their group’s honour. In a flash, the tug-of-war competition was also in full swing with the blow of a whistle, and the participating students gritted their teeth and used all their strength. Small bodies became filled with huge energy, and the atmosphere on the around the field was tense and lively. Cheers of encouragement echoed continuously, making people’s blood boil with excitement.
Companionship is the best education and the longest-lasting form of love! As the camera panned, we arrived at the Grade 2 “In the name of love” parent-child sports meeting. ”
The camera switched between the “higher, faster, stronger” 3-4-5 grade track to competitions on the field held under a blue sky. On the track, they gave their all; on the throwing field, they excelled; on the long jump field, they had lofty ambitions; on the ‘tug-of-war’ field, they were outstanding. The children ran and chased, and every start and sprint was the result of their sweat and effort. Every leap and soar was the result of their strength and courage, and every throw and pass was the result of their skills and concentration. They took off from the jumping pit and spread their dreams at the finish line.
With the successful conclusion of this year’s Happy Sports Day, the little athletes smiled like flowers and returned with honours. This sports meeting was like a beautiful painting, recording the laughter and sweat of the students on the sports field, and witnessing their growth and progress. Let’s look forward to the next Sports Day! May these windy youths enjoy sports in the future, with the vitality of life, walk further and fly higher!
