Congratulations to our Primary School students for their fantastic achievements at the city and district-level Individual Artistic Competition and Art Exhibition.

We are delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our Primary School students at the city and district-level 2024 Individual Artistic Competition and Art Exhibition. With this event, we celebrate the fruitful golden autumn season with our young artists. These achievements not only show the artistic talents of our students but also reflect the outstanding achievements in arts education at SUIS Qingpu.

Our students embarked on a thrilling journey in this year’s competition, participating in a variety of categories, including vocal music, piano, western music, Chinese music, percussion, craft, animation, drama, and dance. The competition was a two-stage process, which began with school auditions. The top two contestants in each category then advanced to the district-level competition. Once there, our students again demonstrated their extraordinary abilities, winning 19 municipal and district-level 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in various categories!

Particularly worthy of note is that our school achieved excellent results in the primary schools Art Exhibition Competition: the three projects of Collective Dance, Drama Recitation and Shadow Puppet Play all won 1st prize in the Qingpu District as well as Excellent Instructor awards. The Choir programme won the 3rd prize in the district, encouraging teachers and students to continue to work hard. SUIS Qingpu’s Drama Recitation programme performed exceedingly well in the district-level competition, and students were invited to participate in the municipal competition to compete for higher honours against other schools. The Shadow Puppet Play was also performed live in the 12th Student Arts Festival. In the individual competitions, our French horn and violin students were also invited to participate in the district Youth Chamber Music Competition, winning the gold medal!

We give our heartfelt congratulations to the winning students and teachers! These achievements are a testament to the collective effort of our school community. They reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, the guidance and leadership of our teachers and the unwavering support of our parents. It is a successful model of collaboration in which we can all take pride. We are truly grateful for the arts programme we have in our school.

The road of artistic expression is long and full of challenges, but these challenges teach us perseverance and the pursuit of beauty. Let us go forward hand in hand, continue to explore and innovate, and let the flower of the arts bloom more vibrantly on campus.
