Every conversation and partnership I’ve had throughout my high school life has helped me develop further. I’ve started to see that each person’s individuality serves as a bridge that fosters respect and understanding between people as well as reflecting the campus’ diverse culture. Participating in academic and cultural exchange events has taught me how to listen to all voices with an open mindset and to appreciate diverse viewpoints more readily.

No Alternatives — Music Scores My Life
In most situations, drummers are largely unnoticed members of a band. There aren’t many chances to engage with the audience because the drum set is towards the rear of the stage. But as my performance experience increased, I gradually saw a change in myself, growing bolder and more comfortable showcasing my uniqueness.
My debut performance as a drummer took place at the Music Gala in my ninth grade. I performed “The Promise of the Dandelion” with my classmates. From then on, I consistently took part in a variety of activities, including the annual Music Gala, Winter Concert, musicals, flag-raising ceremonies, school assemblies, and inter-school music festivals. I was also privileged to be chosen as the Student Council’s Arts Prefect once I started the tenth grade, placed in charge of the school’s musical events.
As the Arts Prefect, I realized how many precise coordinations are needed to deliver a song in the best possible way. These include the lighting technician’s cues, the 32 faders on the mixing console, and even the sound field blind spots in the audience’s eighth row. As a seasoned music educator and performer, Mr. Feigl has helped me understand the importance of striving for excellence in everything from lighting to sound effects.
“Although I am deeply passionate about music, I do not want to limit my future career to this particular subject. I might choose to pursue multidisciplinary courses to expand my horizons, improve my problem-solving skills, and ensure that my music always retains its originality and inventiveness.
Sports Teams: Tales Behind the Numbers
My involvement in athletic events started only in high school, in contrast to my constant position in music. I joined the school’s frisbee and basketball teams in the ninth grade. Just two weeks after I joined, I went for a match in a frisbee league; also, I was excited for my first basketball game at home with the seniors on the team, even though I had no match experience and was usually anxious when gripping the ball. The school offered a lot of match opportunities, which thrilled me as a novice and inspired me to develop quickly.
I was honoured to be chosen as both the basketball team’s captain and assistant captain during my tenth grade. Even though the past great captains taught me a lot about communication, I didn’t fully understand that exceptional team management extends well beyond just winning points on the court until I really assumed the post of captain. I started learning how to resolve conflicts amongst teammates, coordinate between coaches and players, and work to foster a supportive team environment. In the process, I interacted with my teammates honestly as a friend rather than making demands of them with the power of a captain. Thankfully, I have always had the support of my teammates, even though I have faced many obstacles and problems. Our team is making progress year after year. While we always experience unexpected circumstances in the annual league games that prevent us from reaching the end, I am hopeful that in my senior year of high school, we will endure and make a breakthrough.

1.Mr. Christoper Quicke
Student Council Supervisor
I have had the privilege of knowing Daniel since Grade 9, and over the years, I have witnessed his remarkable growth into an outstanding young man. From the very beginning, it was evident that he possessed qualities that set him apart—respect, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility. He approaches every challenge with a determined mindset, always striving to improve himself and uplift those around him.
As a natural leader and a key member of the Student Council, high school basketball team, and music department, Daniel has demonstrated his ability to take initiative and bring people together. His strong communication skills, coupled with his ability to listen and empathize, make him an effective and respected leader among both his peers and teachers. Whether organizing school events, leading discussions, or offering support to fellow students, Daniel is someone people can rely on.
Beyond his leadership roles, Daniel’s confidence, dependability, and positivity leave a lasting impact on everyone he interacts with. He leads by example, showing that success is achieved through perseverance and integrity. His presence in our school community is invaluable, and I have no doubt that he will continue to inspire and excel in all his future endeavours.

Daniel Ge is a great example of what can be achieved with hard work and a positive attitude. He embodies our school’s core values of respect, responsibility, and resilience. Whether as a performer, organizer, or stage helper, Daniel is always actively involved in our music events. On stage, we have seen him perform in many different roles: drummer, singer, musical theatre lead, rapper, and host. It is wonderful to see a student so genuinely passionate about music.
When he started music in Grade 9, it was initially quite difficult for him, as he was not used to reading music scores. However, he stayed resilient and worked hard. Now, in Grade 11, he is a very successful music student. Daniel has not only improved his technical skills and composition but has also grown as a confident and versatile performer. His commitment to his craft and his willingness to step outside his comfort zone are truly inspiring. Daniel’s journey reflects his determination to succeed, and he continues to inspire both his peers and teachers alike. I’m proud of all he has accomplished and look forward to seeing where his passion for music takes him in the future.
