SUIS Qingpu High School Unveils Prestigious Honours Award Programme

We are proud to introduce an exciting new initiative celebrating student achievement and fostering a culture of excellence—the Honours Award Programme. This prestigious programme aims to inspire students to reach their full potential while enhancing school pride and unity, and represents a significant step in shaping a positive and aspirational school culture—one where success is recognised, celebrated, and encouraged.

The first cohort of Honours Award recipients

It is with great excitement that we announce the very first cohort of Honours Award recipients at SUIS Qingpu. These exceptional students have set a high benchmark and exemplify the values and spirit of our school community.

Half Honours Recipients

In recognition of sustained dedication and outstanding academic achievement, we proudly present the students who have been awarded Half Honours in Academics, symbolised by white piping on their blazer’s chest pocket.

These exceptional individuals have consistently demonstrated academic excellence by either:

1. Maintaining an overall subject average of 90% or above; or 2. Achieving a ‘Top 3’ position within their grade across multiple assessment cycles.

Full Honours Recipients

Full Honours awards are given to the most outstanding students, indicated by white piping around their entire blazer. In recognition of sustained dedication and outstanding leadership on and off the court, we are immensely proud to announce the first ever recipient of Full Honours in Sport in SUIS Qingpu’s High School—awarded for exceptional commitment and leadership in Volleyball. She is Grade 11 student Jenny Jiang.

Jenny has been a dedicated member of the school’s Volleyball programme since Grade 9. Over the past three years, she has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability, consistent commitment, and a level of leadership that has elevated not only her own performance but also the success of her team.

“I’m truly honoured by this recognition. As Captain of our Volleyball Team, I’ve worked to excel both as a player and a leader—scheduling trainings and matches, managing injuries and equipment, and navigating coaching changes. These challenges developed my composure as well as my time management and problem-solving skills. Ever since I chose to engage with volleyball, I have continued to see it through – this belief has kept me and my team persevering.”

Full Honours Recipients

On Monday, 21 April 2025, Jenny Jiang, Samuel Cai, and Eloise Tan were welcomed by Principal Sunny Huang and Co-Principal Adam Neufield. Jenny was congratulated for receiving Full Honours in Sport, the first student in the school’s history to do so, while Samuel and Eloise were acknowledged for earning Half Honours in Academics—a reflection of their consistent academic excellence and dedication.

Both school leaders offered heartfelt congratulations and shared words of encouragement, urging the students to continue striving for personal excellence while also embracing their roles as leaders and role models within the SUIS Qingpu community.
