The 2025 “Life & Growth” Mental Health Education and LRC Reading Season special events are here! This year, our school’s theme is “Discovering the Beauty of Life, Unveiling the Journey of Growth.” Over the coming months, we will embark on a journey of personal and collective development—exploring the beauty of life, the self, others, and the world. Let us touch the pulse of life with our hearts and illuminate our path of growth through the power of reading.

Contemplating the Origins of Life

Beyond sunlight, air, and water—what else helps life to flourish fully and healthily? Could it be the minerals in the soil, an unknown energy, or perhaps the nourishment of love, hope, and wisdom?
Our names often carry our parents’ first blessings and deepest hopes. A name might hold a wish, a story, or even silent protection. What meaning is hidden in your name? How does it reflect their expectations for your life?
nvisioning Life’s Original Form
If life had a colour, would it be translucent blue or blazing red? If it had a shape, would it flow like water or shine eternally like the stars? At the dawn of time—what might life have looked like?
Discovering the Beauty of Life
“If you think life has a shape, what do you think it looks like—and why?”

Teachers and students stepped into nature’s embrace, transforming into keen observers of life. In the dappled forest light, amidst falling petals and unfolding buds, they searched for life’s colours. With creative cut-out photo frames in hand, they captured vibrant moments of life. Each photo preserved not just the beauty of nature but also each student’s unique interpretation of what life means to them.

Exploring the Meaning of Life
“If you had the chance now to capture something that is most important in your life, what would you choose?”
An intense Life Value Auction kicked off with great excitement. Students transformed into bidders, raising their paddles for what they cherished most. Some let go of appearances, proudly declaring that “inner beauty is eternal.” Others showed remarkable foresight, bidding fiercely for their future careers. A few believed happiness was priceless—and were determined to win it at any cost.

When the gavel fell, the journey wasn’t over. Students picked up their pens to write about the treasures that hadn’t made the auction list—but nonetheless held profound meaning in their hearts: how reading nourishes the soul, optimism lights up life, courage propels us forward, dreams chart our course, and luck sprinkles surprises along the way. These reflections became their personal treasure maps, revealing what they truly valued.

In the reflective debriefing session, deeper questions surfaced:“What did I bid on—and why? Was there something I missed? Why this particular choice? Do I have regrets?”Then came the quieter, more revealing thoughts: “Why didn’t I bid at all? Do I finally understand what truly matters? And how—practically, passionately—can I pursue it? Are some things truly beyond monetary value? If so, how can I obtain them?

Through this introspective dialogue, students reached a profound realisation: life offers no standard answers. Each person’s journey is uniquely their own. These reflections not only clarified their deepest desires but also served as a poignant reminder—life’s opportunities are fleeting. Only through focus, courage, and unwavering perseverance can one progress toward the life they truly desire. In addition to the above, a variety of vibrant monthly activities await.
