Thunderous applause resonated beneath the brilliant stage lights as youthful energy flourished on stage, marking the triumphant conclusion of the 2025 SUIS Qingpu School Team Showcase. This was not merely an audiovisual spectacle but a vivid testament to the dedication and growth of our talented students. Let us review this remarkable event, which was filled with passion and warmth!
The evening commenced with a unique cultural bridge as the melodies of “My Homeland” intertwined with the “Hogwarts Hymn,” performed by the School Orchestra. Their exquisite rendition profoundly moved the audience.

Following the hosts’ spirited introduction, Principal Sunny took to the stage. Her warm and inspiring words resonated with the rapt audience, eliciting sustained and enthusiastic applause.

The Primary School Costume Team opened the show with “Weaving Wonder: Childhood Traces.” Students incorporated elements of nature into their imaginative designs. Ethereal gauze skirts resembled forest mist, while cloaks adorned with leaves and flowers evoked enchanting fairy tales. As they skipped across the stage, each turn and gesture seemed to narrate a beautiful story of harmony with nature.

The Middle School Choir followed, evoking a sense of nostalgia with “Those Bygone Days.” Gentle melodies flowed from the piano and glockenspiel as harmonious voices intertwined. The song captured a youthful longing for the past, uncertainty about the future, and a distinctive blend of perseverance and hope. Many audience members hummed along, lost in their memories.

The Qingying Dance Team presented “Jasmine Blossoms.” Dancers in elegant white gowns moved with graceful fluidity, resembling budding jasmine flowers unfurling their youthful splendour on stage.

The Chinese drama “Hua Mulan” was staged powerfully, with students vividly re-enacting Mulan’s resolute decision to join the army in her father’s place and her valiant spirit on the battlefield. Her heroic determination, braving the challenges of a thousand miles to serve, inspired everyone present.

The Nightingale Choir filled the theatre with warmth. Their delightfully upbeat performance of “Hot Chocolate” conjured images of cosy winter hearths. “A Diary for Mum and Dad,” sung with pure innocence, expressed heartfelt gratitude and love for parents, bringing tears of emotion to many eyes.

During the interludes, awards ceremonies recognised outstanding achievements. Compelling footage displayed Sports Team members training and competing fiercely – moments of falling and rising again, scenes of determined perseverance. Highlights from the Academic Team showcased certificates earned through tireless effort, while Arts Team members were celebrated for expressing life’s rhythms through dance and painting the world’s vibrant hues with inspired brushstrokes.
As representatives from each team stepped onto the stage to receive their certificates, the sparkle in their eyes reflected pride in their accomplishments and boundless hope for the future.

Assistant Principal Helen delivered a closing address, culminating in a tribute to the team teachers. Stepping into the spotlight with bouquets in hand, they stood as the steadfast foundation behind the teams’ successes.
As the stage lights gently dimmed, the memorable event drew to a close. “Partings come and go, but passion endures forever.” This showcase was more than a display of achievements; it was a fervent declaration of youth. May we all carry this passion and courage forward, continuing to write our glorious chapters on life’s grand stage.
