Youthful Feathers Take Flight, Dreams Set Sail for the Future ——2025 SUIS Qingpu Grade 5 Graduation Ceremony Successfully Concludes

In the Summer of 2025, all SUIS Qingpu Primary School teachers, students, and parents of Grade 5 gathered at the Qinglong Theatre to witness the “Youthful Wings Unfold · Dreams Set Sail” themed graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025. Filled with gratitude and dreams, this heartwarming event marked the perfect conclusion to five years of campus life and sounded the tone for the students’ new journies ahead.

暖场The ceremony began with a recap video, where frame after frame captured the precious moments over their five-year journey, evoking deep memories for both teachers and students. Following this, nine student hosts took the stage with radiant energy, warmly welcoming the guests, teachers, and parents in attendance.

At this significant moment, the principals shared original poetic words of encouragement with the graduates. “Rooted deep in China’s fertile soil, wings spread wide to soar the global skies” — these lines reflected both a steadfast commitment to cultural heritage and soaring aspirations for the future.

Next, Class 5G kicked off the performances with Drumbeats of Inspiration, their passionate rhythms heralding the beginning of youth. Class 5I followed with a recitation of Ode to the Sea: Dreams Set Sail, painting a lyrical vision of dreams taking flight.

As the audience lingered in the artistic atmosphere, the usually serious fifth-grade teachers became popstars, presenting a medley entitled, Singing Our Memories Together. Familiar melodies brought back classroom moments and break-time laughter, earning thunderous applause.

As the singing faded, student representatives stepped onto the stage with bouquets of flowers, where the fragrance carried the scent of deep gratitude. The click of cameras immortalized these joyous moments in time.

Later, parent representative Mr. Sun Chenming from Class 5A shared words from the heart, reflecting on growth “from red scarves to graduation gowns” and expressing thanks to the school and hopes for the children.

Performances continued with Class 5F’s What the World Gave Me, Class 5C’s sign-language dance, Light Up the Future, and Class 5D’s Hello Tomorrow, each act transforming gratitude into action and igniting hopes for the future. Class 5A’s piece High School Musical channelled youthful energy, while Class 5H’s Farewell to the Starlit Path conveyed parting sentiments through song and dance. Class 5B’s mashup At the End of the Story & Flowers Along the Way paid tribute to the past with beloved tunes, turning the stage into a vibrant palette of youth, brimming with emotion.

As the imagined chime of graduation bells lingered, Class 5E’s musical Glory Ahead arrived right on cue, symbolizing the graduates’ readiness to hoist their sails toward new horizons. At this pivotal moment, the Nightingale Choir debuted their original song Wonderful, inspired by the students’ growth stories. Its warm melody, with lyrics like “You are the miracle of our bloodline,” infused the departing youths with courage.

In the expectant eyes of the audience, the most exciting tassel-turning ceremony and diploma presentation arrived on stage. School leaders and teachers turned the tassels for each graduate one-by-one. When the tassel shifted from the right to the left and the diploma was held in hand, we witnessed the completion of five years of growth and marked the starting point of a new journey.

After the honours, the Nightingale Choir performed Diary for Mom and Dad, shifting the focus to the unsung heroes behind the scenes. Through song, the children transformed gratitude into musical notes, pouring out heartfelt emotions that brought tears to many parents’ eyes, filling the theatre with a quiet warmth.

Amid the lingering warmth of familial love, four student representatives took the stage: Qi Mi from Qinglong House (Class 5A), Shen Yang from Xuanwu House (Class 5C), Pu Xinyu from Zhuque House (Class 5E), and Chen Yihan from Baihu House (Class 5G). They shared their gratitude for the school and their hopes for the future, their sincere words resonating deeply with the audience.

As the Voices of the Houses faded, all teachers and students rose to sing our school song, People of SUIS Qingpu, their voices brimming with nostalgia. During the dream-launching ceremony, a countdown of “3, 2, 1” prompted everyone to send paper airplanes soaring into the air, tracing arcs of hope against the graduation backdrop and adding a touching finale to the event.

“Graduation is not the end, but the dawn of new light.” As the students declared, “We will march toward the stars and the sea with the warmth of SUIS.” With the school song’s melody lingering, the 2025 fifth-grade graduation ceremony came to a close.

This ceremony was both a sincere farewell to five unforgettable years and a passionate embarkation toward the future.
