This autumn, primary students at SUIS Qingpu spread their wings like little birds, flying into the warm embrace of the season. From the playful world of Tu Wowo to the deep blue wonders of Ocean Park, each grade wrote its own “autumn story.” Now, let’s take a look at these sparkling, joy-filled moments!
Grade 1: First Autumn Trip – A Fun Exploration at Tu Wowo
For the first graders, this was their very first autumn outing — their destination, Shanghai Tu Wowo. Full of curiosity and excitement, they held their friends’ hands and set off on their first collective adventure. Under the sunshine, the children bounced happily on trampolines, slid down with speed, and swung high, with laughter ringing in the air. During snack time, one shared cookies while another offered candy — and in these small acts, friendship quietly blossomed. Each beaming smile shone brighter than the autumn sun. This trip was more than just play; it was a beautiful beginning to learning how to belong and grow in independence.

Grade 2: Joyful Hearts at the Smurfs Park
The second graders transformed into cheerful “Smurfs,” their bright smiles lighting up the Children’s Park as they entered. Following their guide, they explored this magical, dreamlike place together. They laughed freely on the rides, sat shoulder to shoulder during breaks, and captured carefree moments in group photos. This autumn outing was not only a release of joyful energy but also a time to strengthen bonds and create pure, happy memories that will last long after the season has passed.

Grade 3: Exploring Nature – A Walk through Changfeng Park
This autumn, the third graders stepped into Changfeng Park for an adventure that blended the wonders of nature and the ocean. Inside the aquarium, the children were fascinated by the colourful marine creatures. Through the glass walls, they observed graceful jellyfish, lively tropical fish, and adorable sea turtles. Amidst their gasps of amazement, they met new “friends of the sea” and gained a deeper understanding of ocean life. They also eagerly completed a “Leaf Treasure Hunt,” collecting fallen leaves to create their own beautiful specimens. This trip became more than just a fun day out; it was a vivid science lesson and an unforgettable nature experience, inspiring curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.

Grades 4–5: Teamwork and Challenge – The Double-Park Adventure

This autumn, students in Grades 4 and 5 embarked on two exciting adventures filled with teamwork and laughter: a trip to Happy Valley and Haichang Ocean Park. At Happy Valley, Grade 4 students launched into a “Self-Planned Mission.” Working in teams, they selected captains and began planning their routes. Should they start with the thrilling “Giant Swing,” or cool off on the “Rapid River”? Every decision required teamwork and thoughtful coordination. Facing attractions like the pirate ship and the spinning wheel, team members encouraged and supported one another, transforming initial nerves into confidence. By the end, all teams returned punctually, with early arrivals patiently waiting — a clear sign of their strong teamwork and time awareness.
Meanwhile, Grade 5 students took on the “Ocean Discovery Challenge” at Haichang Ocean Park. Working in groups, they were tasked with completing four main missions within a set time: watching a show, visiting exhibits, participating in activities, and having lunch. Each group planned carefully — some hurried to secure the best seats for the orca show, while others prioritised visits to the Penguin Pavilion and Polar Zone, eager to meet the ocean’s “spirits.” Laughter and excitement filled the day as they admired the might of the orcas and the charm of the penguins, learning through experience how to manage time and plan efficiently.
This “Double-Park Challenge” offered more than amusement — it fostered growth through cooperation and organisation. Those confident smiles became the most beautiful sight of this autumn.
The stories of autumn are now captured and treasured. As this chapter of “Autumn Adventures” closes softly, the next journey of childhood is already waiting to begin…
