The Oxbridge pathway is designed for those students and families that want to further their studies in our High School and prepare for admissions to top international universities. Students in the Oxbridge pathway are exposed to more subjects taught in English; these include mathematics and science. English is the main language for all subjects. Families that choose Oxbridge need to be aware of this and ensure that their child has a high English ability.

What makes the Oxbridge pathway unique is that, as stated, most subjects are taught in English. Also, there are two tutor teachers: one international and one local; this allows our students to get a sense of how classes and tutoring are conducted in a western situation.
The students will learn Chinese and Chinese Culture. In Chinese Culture the students will learn some aspects of Chinese History and Geography.

During their study in the Oxbridge pathway, students will prepare for further study in our High School; the aim of Oxbridge is to prepare the students for their further studies and to gain the best results possible. This does not just include the academic side but also considers the holistic education of the student. We hope that by the end of the three years in Middle School, our students do not just succeed academically but also have a better understanding of western culture; our vision is that as these students progress through the school they become student leaders and role models for other students.
As part of the curriculum, we expect that all students take part in external competitions that will help them gain more experience in using English in different contexts. These include English debates, maths competitions, and the World Scholar Cup.

At the end of Grade Eight our students are expected to take their first IGCSE exams in English and Mathematics.
In addition to following SUIS Qingpu educational philosophy of the Middle School, we want our students to always achieve their best, enjoy learning, value themselves as individuals and as members of a global community, and to become confident leaders of tomorrow. We also aim to encourage and develop qualities such as to be inquisitive, knowledgeable, thinkers, open-minded, communicators, reflective, innovative, and patriotic students, and members of society.
In conclusion, the Oxbridge pathway does not just prepare our students for academic success but also gives them a better understanding of western culture and how things are taught and done from a more international perspective. The goal is to have students who are academically strong, open minded, and possess a more international mindset.
