In an era driven by rapid technological advancement, nurturing future leaders with innovative minds and engineering expertise is the unwavering educational vision of Shanghai United International School Qingpu Campus (SUIS Qingpu). On Sunday, April 26, 2026, our campus transformed into a pulsating hub of innovation as we proudly hosted the prestigious 2026 Robot Challenge International Invitational (Shanghai).

Amidst the whirring of motors, the clicking of LEGO bricks, and the passionate cheers of future engineers, SUIS Qingpu, alongside three other SUIS sister schools, co-created a world-class arena blending engineering combat, artificial intelligence, and boundless creativity.
A Moment of Glory: Crowned in Gold and Silver, Aiming for the World
Amidst fierce competition, the SUIS Qingpu teams completely stole the show. With unrivaled strategies and masterful coding, they proved to the world their readiness to lead the future of technology!

A massive congratulations to our incredible Grade 12 students, Emily Wu and Penny Luo! Leveraging highly stable mechanical designs and precise algorithms, they dominated the fiercely competitive Senior Sumobot division, securing the GOLD Award!
(Middle School Masters – Double Gold)
Our Middle School teams were equally unstoppable! The brilliant minds of Jerry, Daniel, Damon, Fiona, Eric, and Elsa proudly earned TWO Gold Medals through top-tier execution and strategic brilliance!
(Middle School Silver Medalists)
Additionally, the team of Bourne, Marsden, and Fisher clinched a spectacular Silver Medal, showcasing remarkable adaptability and consistent performance under pressure!
(The Ultimate Reward: World Championship Qualification)
Most excitingly, these three phenomenal middle school teams have officially qualified to represent SUIS Qingpu at the International Robotics Challenge World Championship in Beijing later this year!
Behind the Excellence: Sweat, Gears, and Unyielding Resilience
Every heavy medal is the crystallization of countless trials, errors, and perseverance. During a highly intensive 2.5-week preparation period, 20 participating students, guided by our phenomenal coaching team (Ms. Kamila, Ms. Nile, Ms. Beni), sacrificed their free periods. They spent countless after-school hours designing, building, testing, and debugging.
They weren’t just writing code; they were programming their own futures. This spirit of facing challenges head-on and continuously iterating solutions is the core competency of tomorrow’s top engineers.
Beyond Competition: Redefining the True Value of Future Education
At SUIS Qingpu, we firmly believe that education extends far beyond textbooks. This grand event was about much more than winning trophies; it was a profound crucible for critical thinking, innovation, teamwork, and resilience. Win or lose, every single student demonstrated incredible sportsmanship and a fiery passion for learning.
As the saying goes: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
A massive thank you to Yelgea Events! Thank you for your flawless organization and partnership in helping us bring this extraordinary international platform to our students.
