On September 29, the Zhuque House 2025 Academic Year September Flag-Raising Ceremony commenced as scheduled on the football field, themed “Integrate Global Wisdom, Build the Foundation for a Strong Nation”. Here, youthful passion, cultural warmth, and the aspiration for national strength intertwined, composing the first inspiring symphony of the new semester.

“What is global wisdom? What defines the foundation of a strong nation?” In the keynote speech segment, Evelyn from G8 and Andy Liu from 8F under the flag offered Zhuque an answer. Through their youthfulness and their teachers’ lens, they shared cross-cultural observations and reflected on the responsibilities of this generation—from mutual learning among world civilizations to the inheritance of a mission for the young. Each word, heartfelt and sincere, articulated their understanding of “global integration” and vowed to “build the foundation for a strong nation”, deeply moving every teacher and student present.
Diversity warmed hearts and enriched wisdom. The “Global Citizen” singing segment became the ceremony’s most touching highlight. Erika Cardona from Colombia, Hugo Mc Daid from Ireland, Shirley Shi from China Yao Minority, Samantha An from China ChaoXian minority, Aaron Huang from South Korea, Sawatari Hirofumi from Japan, and Charlie Guo from China Man ethnicity ,united across divisions and cultures, their voices harmonizing beyond borders. Equally moving were the teachers and students in traditional attire—some adorned with intricate ethnic patterns, others in vibrant foreign styles—softly declaring in their native languages, “Happy Birthday China!” Through video, these blessings resonated across languages, united in shared devotion. This celebration of multiculturalism illuminated the essence of “global integration”, deepening patriotism through cultural exchange.

As the ceremony neared its end, joy and anticipation intertwined. The long-awaited results of the “House Cup” were announced, with each division’s achievements displayed vividly on the screen. Cheers erupted as the winner–Zhuque House –were named, a tribute to past efforts and a rallying cry for future endeavour.

At the same time, the Time Capsule activity (including message boards and question cards) and the Qinghe Bank initiative were launched. The Qinghe Bank innovatively introduced a points-exchange system across divisions, integrating growth values with practical experiences to foster financial literacy and moral development. These activities opened a fresh interactive chapter for the new semester.

As the flag continued to fly and applause faded, Zhuque students’resolve grew stronger. This ceremony transcended a mere school event—it was a heartfelt lesson in patriotism, a cultural journey embracing diversity. Looking ahead, Zhuque students will embrace the world as their textbook, drawing wisdom to pen a stronger nation’s future. With youth as their pen, they march boldly toward “global integration and national strength”, ready to conquer new horizons in the new semester.
