Despite the chill of winter, the warmth of artistic passion shone through as the 18th “Artistic Performing Corner” Talent Show, hosted by Shanghai United International School Qingpu Campus (Primary Division), unfolded as scheduled. Through their captivating performances, the students infused the season with unique warmth and vitality, making the event a memorable success.

The Brush Paints a World of Innocence
In the exhibition, charming artworks full of childlike wonder captivated the audience. Students used their brushes to portray the world as they see it: some painted the warm winter sun, others depicted fairy tale castles, and some expressed emotions through abstract colours. Each piece revealed the children’s unique perspectives and pure imagination, showcasing their growth in art.

Adding to the delight, the school’s “Nightingale Choir” was invited as special guests. These talented young singers captivated the audience with their angelic voices, presenting a selection of classic choral pieces. Their pure harmonies and seamless collaboration highlighted the outstanding musical literacy of SUIS Qingpu students, earning enthusiastic applause.

The concert commenced with a touching prelude by the “Larks Choir,” composed of teachers and parents. Standing together on stage, they delivered moving songs with professional skills and heartfelt emotion. Their involvement not only set a wonderful example for the students but also reflected the SUIS Qingpu community’s strong commitment and support for arts education.

Arts education extends beyond skill acquisition—it nurtures emotion and builds character. Through artistic engagement, children learn to express themselves, appreciate beauty, and persevere in what they love—qualities that will benefit them for life. Let us applaud these wonderful children and extend our gratitude to all teachers, parents, and students who support and participate in arts education. May every child soar freely in the sky of art and grow joyfully under the warm sun.
